912 Rushup Edge from Barber Booth

From the crest of Rushup Edge the Vale of Edale lies spread out like a map, while beyond rises Kinder. It takes a bit of effort to get up here from the valley, but while at weekends the crowds throng Mam Tor you can often have this ridge almost entirely to yourselves. If the wind is in the right direction you can marvel at the paragliders as they swoop along the edge, almost close enough to touch, while in March you can meet the runners on the Edale Skyline fell race, one of the toughest races in the Peak District at a distance of twenty miles.
