The long, high sweep of Froggatt Edge and Curbar Edge rises above dense woodland, in autumn a riot of colour. Little trodden paths meander through the trees but the best is saved till last, any airy stroll high above the Derwent Valley with spectacular views over the dizzy drops of climbing cliffs and finally a hunt in the bracken for a little visited stone circle.
