820 Shutlingsloe from Wildboarclough

Shutlingsloe is justly popular and many people know the ascent from Macclesfied Forest, but did you know there's a back door route? Here, high above Wildboarclough on Piggford Moor, all is quiet save for the call of the grouse and curlew. Then, after admiring the extensive summit panorama, you avoid the very steep descent by following a little used footpath which encircles the hillside at an easy angle.
