Lambs and daffodils make a perfect spring and Alstonefield has both in plenty following the earlier masses of snowdrops. Here prehistoric burial mounds top rounded limestone hills on a walk of ups and downs through the White Peak. A grand total of three rounded grassy summits are visited and on both of our visits we've had them all to ourselves.
