Snow brings out the child in all of us. Pure white snow, a cloudless blue sky and a couple of pubs to warm up in make Adlington a delightful winter walk. We must go back there again we said. Pity we chose a damp, grey winter day. At least the cows had retreated into their warm winter quarters so the fields weren't too churned up and then the sun came out for a glorious picnic by the Macclesfield Canal where every passing dog welcomed us with rapturous delight, or maybe it was the sandwiches. Anyway it's a good reason to go again. It's only January as we write this, plenty of time for some more snow.
