Windmills are all the rage nowadays, but the one atop Harrock Hill burned down in 1880. Perhaps they should fix it and make Mawdesley even greener! It certainly is a marvellous spot, with views over the Fylde and Bowland Fells, but what we remember best are Mawdesley's beautiful gardens.
