Sun, sea and sand - all three were in abundance at Ainsdale and with a cloudless blue sky we were glad of the shade in the Nature Reserve Woodland. A paddle proved irresistible, but with the sea well out this added another mile to the walk - next time we resolved to go at high tide. So much for resolutions - on our next visit the sun was even hotter, we ran out of water and staggered across the sands like lost legionnaires and the sea was even further out!
