670 Alsop to Parwich

In Henry VIII's time Thomas Becon, who was hiding in the village to escape religious persecution, found the people of Alsop en le Dale to be "of very good wits and apt understanding". On our visit there was not a soul to be seen - but the inhabitants of nearby Parwich were just as agreeable. After a gentle climb from the village the walk finishes with an easy stroll along the Tissington Trail - just watch out for the cyclists.
