Conistone Dib comes as a delightful surprise as you descend from the Dales Way across limestone uplands. Here the path squeezes between high rock walls forming a miniature gorge. Then, beyond ancient ash woodland lies Ghaistrill's Strid, where the River Wharfe foams in tumult through a narrow channel.
