622 Kinder Reservoir

"I'm a rambler, I'm a rambler, from Manchester way” goes the famous song written for the Kinder Mass Trespass, which took place in 1932. Our walk, like theirs, starts from Bowden Bridge Quarry. But with Access Land and Permissive Paths now encircling Kinder Reservoir, you won't have any skirmishes with gamekeepers. In its quiet upper reaches, with sparkling streams and scattered woodland, the reservoir has the feel of a natural lake.
