Crummack Dale has some of the finest limestone scenery in Yorkshire. Scoured out by glaciers the green and fertile valley is surrounded by steep cliffs and acres of limestone pavement. Two ancient clapper bridges and the tiny hamlet of Wharfe complete the picture, then a visit to Austwick's Gamecock ends the day.
