Appropriately it was the wettest day of the week for our visit to Dane's Moss, the largest raised bog in lowland England. Yet despite a leaden sky the oak and silver birch woodland looked delightful, while even torrential rain along the Macclesfield Canal failed to dampen the children's enjoyment of the day.
