538 Darwen

The windy parapet of Darwen Tower is a magnificent vantage point. As well as Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee the monument commemorates the "freeing" of the footpaths on Darwen Moor. Perhaps there should be a new plaque celebrating the CROW Act, for now the whole moor is Access Land.
