521 Flagg

Almost a thousand years have passed since the recorders of the Domesday Book made the entry "Flagun", the village we know today as Flagg. Up here on the high windswept plateau farming and mining have formed the landscape of green fields surrounded by a network of white walls stretching into the distance, and lines of grass covered depressions mark where miners searched for lead. But searching is not needed to find refreshment on this walk for, in true miners' tradition, there are no less than three pubs.
