Where in Derbyshire will you find a Yorkshire Dale and a link with the Lake District? The answer is above Darley Bridge near Matlock, for here lies the miniature Wensley Dale. And a Wordsworth sonnet is the Lake District link, for when the poet was visiting the area he heard the local legend about two brothers who each planted a tree on the summit of Oker Hill. "Each planted on that lofty place a chosen tree", he wrote, and even today a tall sycamore stands proudly on the very top.
