488 Podnet Tarn

You won't find Podnet Tarn on the map, for the Ordnance Survey have chosen to leave it nameless, but this is one of the gems of the Winster Valley. Set only just over the Lancashire border the village of Winster and its diminutive river lie hidden and almost forgotten. With the russet tints of autumn still among the trees you can scuff through the leaves and have it all to yourself, with only the fleeting glimpse of a roe deer for company.
