Dappled sunlight in the woods, secluded pools and a winding brook - Deep Hayes Country Park has all of these. Quiet paths then lead over the fields to the Domesday village of Cheddleton which boasts a splendid tearoom, an ancient church and a picturesque pub. Finally a gentle towpath stroll along the Caldon Canal, past a working Flint Mill, completes the expedition. So much variety in just three miles - it's a must!
