"Serth" says the sign, which means steep, for of course Moel Famau is in Wales. We are very lucky where we live as, just a few miles beyond Chester, you are in a foreign country. But unlike England, where only experts understand the meaning of placenames, in Wales the language has changed little over the centuries. So why not go abroad for the day? But don't worry if you're "Saesneg" they do speak English!
