427 Bar Brook and Ramsley Moor

Barbrook Stone Circle is one of the best preserved in the Peak District, but despite its close proximity to a track we have never seen anyone else there. That is except for the time we found a tent pitched right in the centre of the stones. The doors were tightly zipped and the occupants sound asleep. Their slumbers didn't last much longer though, for they were spotted by a Peak Park Ranger and had to make a rapid exit. This walk is best in late summer when the heather moors are at their finest.
