416 Agden Reservoir

"Mary Ann Smith, God's Gift to Man", says the inscription on the water fountain at Low Bradfield. She must have been a stunner! But our favourite memorial, high on the moor above the village, is to a runner who loved these hills. His chance remark, made to a fellow athlete as they pounded up the path, sums up for us the spirit of wild open spaces - "If you owned this, what better could you do with it than you are doing now?"
