Would you drive 150 miles to buy an azalea? That's how far one of the visitors we met had come, for Dunge Valley Hidden Gardens had a high reputation among connoisseurs. This mini Bodnant lay beneath the dramatic Windgather Rocks. Sadly the owners have now retired so the garden is no longer open to the public. But a public footpath crosses the valley, giving a sample of the Himalayan specialities that flourish in this delightful spot
