372 Glazebrook

Going under Cuckoo Bridge - its name comes from the echo - is like stepping through a portal in time. One moment you're among houses and the next in the countryside. Horses graze beside Glaze Brook and barley fields surround the medieval Great Woolden Hall. "Only dedicated walkers come here", said the owner and indeed the only person we met was in New Moss Wood. Appearing only on recent maps the wood is surprisingly extensive, so mind where you go - we don't want to lose any readers!
