358 Wansfell

"O mortal man that lives by bread. What is it makes thy nose so red? Thou silly fool that looks so pale. Tis drinking Sally Birkett's ale." No, it isn't Wordsworth, but the verse which adorns the inn sign at the Lakeland village of Troutbeck is probably better known than much of the celebrated poet's work. So if, like most mortal men (and women too), you are feeling a little overheated after climbing Wansfell, then there's the pub to look forward to!
