350 Cuerden Valley

Trapped between the M6, M61 and M65 you might expect to find only urban scruffiness. But, in fact, the Cuerden Valley is a delightful pocket of quiet countryside. Created as a Country Park in 1981 the valley has bluebell woods, wildflower meadows, ponds and the infant River Lostock. Locals love this wildlife haven, managed by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, so why not join them - it's hardly difficult to find!
