Natural England have closed part of the Access Area in Teesdale  near High Force due to an outbreak of Phytophthora ( a disease which kills juniper and other plants).  Fortunately this does not affect our recommended route to Bink Moss which uses Public Rights of Way through the affected area and these are not closed.  Nevertheless people are asked to:

• Keep to paths
• Keep dogs on a lead
• Wash off any mud and dirt from footwear using the cleaning/disinfectant points provided
• Brush any loose mud and dirt off clothing
• Thoroughly clean footwear at home before its next use
• Leave wood and plant material where it is
