8th July 2005 English summits in one continuous walk

Eric Hardman is the first person to complete a continuous walk over all the English mountains.  The walk began on April 13th from Wooller in Northumberland and covered the Cheviots followed by the Northern Pennines, Lake District, Dales, Peak District and Dartmoor in that order.  The total distance covered was 1,162 miles and 200,000 feet of ascent.

If you think he must be young and fit, well he's certainly fit, but he is actually 61 years old!
