780 Monk's Dale and Tideswell Dale

Monk's Dale is not for the faint hearted. With slippery limestone underfoot this must be the slowest mile in the Peak District. But it's no wonder Miller's Dale inspired Dr David Bellamy to start his botanical career, for on this walk we identified over eighty different flowers.


LOCATION: Six miles east of Buxton
START: Tideswell Dale car park on B6049, one mile south of Tideswell, toilets (Grid ref 154742)
