Utkinton hit the headlines in the 16th century when the miraculous healing properties of Whistlebitch Well became known. Around 2000 people a day flocked here, but nowadays the attraction is walking the woods and the ever popular Sandstone Trail.
 LOCATION: Eight miles west of Northwich START: Turn left off A556 along B5152 for 11/2 miles, then turn right up Heaths Lane, signed Kelsall, & keep straight on.
