| 373 Croker Hill | ||
| Telephone masts are not exactly popular these days, but we have a special affection for the tower on Croker Hill. Known as "The Sledging Tower" from snowy days with our boys, this 286ft landmark, high on the skyline, dwarfs the buildings below which look like a child's toy farm. Especially dramatic at sunset the tower actually enhances the view. And just as a lighthouse on the horizon is a welcome sight for a sailor, so Croker Hill is friendly sentinel recognised from afar.
