Reported problems and solutions

If you try to bookmark a walk then the program reports an error.
|
Sorry, it's a bug - you can't bookmark walks. If the program freezes then
use the ESC key.

On launching a "Director Player 6.0" window opens saying "This program requires at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run"
|
This error has been reported on Windows XP with a large amount of installed RAM. To prevent this problem do the following:
Windows 2000/XP users
1. Right-click on MY COMPUTER
2. Click on PROPERTIES
3. Click on the ADVANCED tab
4. Click on the SETTINGS button in the PERFORMANCE section
5. Click on the ADVANCED tab
6. Click on the CHANGE button
7. Select SYSTEM MANAGED SIZE
8. Click on the SET button
9. Click on OK
10. Close all the following windows by clicking OK
11. Restart your PC
12. Try the program again
If this does not solve your problem you will need to follow these steps:
1. Repeat Steps 1-5 above.
2. Select CUSTOM SIZE
3. Enter the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM SIZE (MB): as 200 (This value can vary from
configuration to configuration. Generally, a maximum Virtual Memory setting
of 200MB will prevent the problem from occurring)
4. Click on the SET button
5. Click on OK
6. Close all the following windows by clicking OK
7. Restart your PC
If you still get the same message, try resetting the MInimum and Maximum to
4000MB.
If you still get the same problem completely shut down and restart your PC.
