Rheged, the word sounds Welsh and indeed it comes from the name for the Celtic Kingdom of Cumbria. This is an exhibition centre specialising in mountains, with a large screen cinema showing a film about Everest, as well as films about Shackleton, Egypt, the sea and, of course, mystic Cumbria.
