10 Oct 2008 From: John Barnard Moel Meirch - a new Nuttall? Moel Meirch (Map 115 SH661503) is marked on the OS maps with a spot height of 607m but older maps put it at 609m. Therefore, this seemed a contender for a new 2000 foot hill. Graham Jackson, Myrddyn Phillips and I recently surveyed this with our Leica GPS system and measured the height to be 608.83m so does NOT reach 609.6m to qualify as a new Nuttall. Closer than the OS maps say but still about a metre short!
