25 Mar 2003 From: Bill Lancashire Carnedd Llechwedd-llyfn or Llechwedd-llyfn I have just got home after spending a weekend climbing the Arenigs. Both my companion and myself were a bit confused on approaching Carnedd Llechwedd-llyfn in Walk 6.2.. From both East and West Llechwedd-llyfn is visually the highest peak. Also, standing on either of these two peaks the same conclusion is drawn. Obviously, there is not enough drop between the two peaks for them both to 'count' but would anyone like to comment on the relative heights of these two. I know that the OS maps give the highest spot height to Carnedd Llechwedd-llyfn, but they have been wrong before!.
