19 Aug 2002 From: Ed Humphreys CROW ACT 2000 - draft maps From a Welsh (only) completer 1998. Living in Mid-Wales it's taking quite a while to get around the English ones! You may be interested in progress in Wales on the maping exercise under the Countrysde & Rights of Way Act 2000. Some areas (Berwyns) of Wales have now passed the draft map consultation stage. In draft connsultation now are Meirionnydd, Pembrokeshire, East Brecon Beacons (Black Mountains)and East Valleys of S Wales. There is a very good timetable and details on website for Countryside Council for Wales at www.ccw.gov.uk Powys County Council are also in the process of appointing the Local Access Forum(s) requitred by the Act.
