20 Sep 2002 From: Charles Leventon Lists & Devolution With the benefit of internet technology I can see no reason why separate lists should not be readily produced if someone sets it up and more than one person registers their achievements. I imagine one could set up a registration process similar to the way we contribute to this message board. Although the LDWA keeps other registers (and may want to maintain the devolved registers) I don't believe that the creation of other lists will affect the integrity of LDWA registers. Perhaps one day we will develop open access to personal electronic log books of ascents so we can track each others progress - England; Wales; Ireland; Donalds; Corbetts; Munros; Maralyns; County Tops; Wainwrights; etc. - the high ground is our oyster. |
