7 Sep 2002 From: Graham Fielding Townley Loop I have ridden the Mary Townley Loop (on mountain bike) & would like to second the previous comments. It's excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A few posts earlier, Little Mickle. We were up there on August bank holiday, in crystal clear weather & still needed GPS to find summit of Little Fell. Any one of a hundred tussocks. Not as many shells as I expected, either. I will agree, an superb bit of wilderness, the best outside Scotland.
