14 Apr 2008 From: John Barnard Foel Boeth, Map 124 GR SH779342 While en route to survey some hills to the north we passed over Foel Boeth. Our first reaction was that there did not seem to be the required 15m of reascent to be included in the Nuttalls' list of hills. So we surveyed this hill with automatic level and staff. We were wrong; the ascent from bwlch to top was 16.75+/-0.50m. The larger than usual error here is that we did not spend a long time surveying the bwlch to pinpoint its exact position. However, it was clear than even if we had spent time doing this, it would not have changed the result that the reascent was greater than 15m!
