23 Jan 2008 From: Julian Edge Crimea Pass latest The roadworks are progressing pretty well and I'm hoping may finish in spring as originally scheduled. The important thing is that the stile for walk 5.2 is no longer taped off. Indeed, everything on the west side of the pass SEEMS to be accessible (not so sure about the approach to Moel Penamnen from the east side of the road - hard to see both sides when travelling through!). However, the car park at the top of the pass is still completely sealed off and I can't recommend an alternative parking place in the vicinity. Walking up from Blaenau Ffestiniog means going through where most of the work is now taking place and could be a bit risky. Keep you informed when something changes.
