8 Jun 2007 From: Myrddyn Phillips Recent Hill Survey (Part 5) This 721 metre high hill is positioned in the Glugerau at approximately grid reference SH 617631. Many past hill list authors have given it a name associated with its near higher neighbour of Carnedd y Filiast, e.g. Carnedd y Filiast North Top or Carnedd y Filiast North-west Top, and yet this hill has its own name, one that it is known locally as, and one that (although misspelt) appears on Ordnance Survey maps, the name of the hill is Y Fronllwyd.
